TRAILS IN OUR AREA
"The New England Central Rail Line has been connecting the communities of the Missisquoi Valley since 1886. The 26.4-mile trail wanders through the villages, farms, forests, fields, and wetlands of Franklin County at a railroad’s pace: slow, steady grades with sweeping bends."
Also known as Aldis Hill Park features a mix of seasonal trails. There is a 1.6 mile loop great for walking, with terrain including slopes, forest, & scenic overlooks. Open year-round supporting mountain biking, snowshoeing and nordic skiing.
"Located at the top of French Hill in Saint Albans, Vermont. The biking is very technical with short punchy climbs. The Forest is great place for year round outdoor activities, such as cross country skiing, Birding, Foraging, and Hiking. The old trails are being renovated, its about a 4 mile network."
Nearly 2 miles of trails in Fairfax. Its a pleasant walk in the woods, with well marked trails, that like all of Vermont, can be muddy at times. Finding the parking & Trail head can be a little tricky so keep your eyes peeled.
